Schools
Up to the age of sixteen years, Denholme children can attend the following schools.
Denholme Primary School is a friendly village school at the heart of the community. It has nursery facilities, and caters for children of all abilities up to 11 years. The school has an active Parents Association who welcome new members. There are lots of children’s after school activities as well as adult education classes. Parkside Secondary School is a co-educational, all ability school catering for around 500 pupils between the ages of 11 and 16. The head Teacher, Dr Tony Rickwood, is always willing to talk to parents, although a telephone appointment is appreciated. The school has an active School Association which organises events for both pupils and parents, and which is always ready to welcome new parents to the committee. Tel: 01535 272752
Library
The library is a great place to learn for both children and adults. It’s located In Mechanics institute and is open Mondays: 12-1 pm & 2-4.30 pm. Fridays: 2-4.30 pm & 5-7 pm. Tel: 01274 833613
